THE HEIRS OF RABOURDIN
Émile Zola

Nearest shows:

Money, and particularly its absence, can greatly affect human relationships. This universally acknowledged truth was no secret to such a shrewd writer as Émile Zola. He describes the family idyll that reigns in the residence of an elderly monsieur Rabourdin, who avails of tender affection of his relatives and friends. All these lovely people around him are totally convinced that their uncle is very sick and unbelievably rich.

The story would be quite sad if it wasn’t so amusing…
