Liliya Vitalievna Yudina, People's Artist of Russia, was born on May 14, 1929. In 1951 she graduated from the Boris Shchukin Theatre Institute and joined the Maly Theatre’s company in 1953.

Liliya Vitalievna is one of the most beautiful Russian actresses. She is a charismatic actress with a radiant stage presence. She's a perfectly beautiful and talented actress, who is great at portraying flirtatious coquettes. She endows her female characters with personal glamour, charm and femininity.

For 65 years of work in the Maly Theatre, Yudina has played over 50 roles. Some of the roles worth mentioning are Regina in «Ghosts» by Henrik Ibsen, Sasha in «Ivanov» by Anton Chekhov, Regan, «King Lear» by William Shakespeare, etc.

Liliya Vitalievna enjoyed one of her greatest successes playing Becky Sharp in the «Vanity Fair» by William Makepeace Thackeray, directed by Igor Ilyinskiy and Veniamin Tsygankov. A merciless social climber, who uses her charm and magnificent appearance to fascinate and seduce upper-class men, she betrays even her closest friends. Nevertheless, the actress does not play a complete villain. Her Becky is ambitious, intelligent and charming in her own way. As one of the spectators wrote, «Yudina's acting is something that is remembered for life».

Liliya Vitalievna played a number of roles in productions based on plays by Alexander Ostrovsky. One of the recent ones being Turusina in «Enough Stupidity in Every Wise Man», directed by Vladimir Beylis. In this role Yudina is charming, coquettish, graceful and at the same time simple-minded.

Liliya Yudina made her big screen debut in the film adaptation of Nikolai Gogol's novel «May Night, or the Drowned Maiden», playing the beautiful Pannochka. She worked with such remarkable directors as Alexander Rou, Viktor Eysymont, Konstantin Yudin, Igor Talankin and others.
