1981 The Khan Theatre production, «The War of The Jews» by Israeli playwright Jehoshua Sobol, directed by Ilan Ronen is invited to The International Jerusalem Festival.

1987 Ilan Ronen published a controversial bi-lingual article in Hebrew and in Arabic on his production of «Waiting for Godot» by Samuel Beckett in The Haifa Municipal Theatre, which is later published in Lois Oppenheim book «Directing Beckett», Interviews with and essays by twenty-two prominent directors of Samuel Beckett's work.
