A TALK BEFORE THE PERFOMANCE

XII International festival «Ostrovsky in the House of Ostrovsky» will open its doors on May 11. This year's programme, includes an exhibition, dedicated to 195 years since the birth of the great Russian playwright AlexanderOstrovsky that will take on the Main stage and a very special evening in A.I.Sumbatov-Yuzhin's Memorial Apartment that will feature our colleagues from the Yugoslav Drama Theatre.

The evening will be hosted by Nataliya Mikhailovna Vagapova,an art history PhD, theatre critic, leading researcher of the State Institute of Art Studies, a specialist in the theatre of South Slavic peoples of Central Europe and the Balkans. She will talk about the history of Russian-Serbian theatre relations, including Yuzhin's visits to Serbia the history of his productions in Serbia and his friendship with the great Serbian playwrights (Branislav Nusic and others) and about the modern Serbian theatre.
