Театр «Талия» (Гамбург, Германия)
Основанный в 1843 году Шерри Морисом, гамбургский Театр «Талия» открывает свой 163-ой сезон. «Талия» является одним из старейших коллективов Германии. С 2000 года им руководит профессор Ульрих Куон.
В репертуаре театра — спектакли, поставленные по произведениям классических и современных мастеров драматургии – Шекспира, Шиллера, Гёте, Чехова, Клейста, Ведекинда, Деа Лохера, Лукаса Берфуса, Морица Ринке, Фрица Катера. На основной сцене, рассчитанной на 1000 зрителей, проходят по 9 премьерных постановок ежегодно, многие из них при участии режиссёров с мировыми именами – Питера Зелларса, Руты Бергхаус, Роберта Уилсона, Томаза Пандура, Андреаса Кригенбурга и др.
При театре открыта небольшая студия, которая каждый год представляет на зрительский суд по пять новых спектаклей. С творчеством «Талии» хорошо знакомы в Европе, а также за её пределами – в Гонконге, США (Нью-Йорк), Бразилии (Рио-де-Жанейро), Корее (Сеул), Колумбии (Богота).
В 2003 году журнал «Театр сегодня» и критики удостоили Театр «Талия» звания «Театр Года».

The Thalia Theater is one of the oldest theatres in Germany and one of the three theatres in Hamburg. It was founded by Cherie Maurice in november 1843 and is now in its 163th season. Professor Ulrich Khuon became director of the Thalia Theater with the season 2000/2001. The Thalia Theater has a permanent ensemble with 40 actors. There are about 20 plays in its repertory, alternating daily or in short runs. In the main theatre, which has approximately 1000 seats, there are usually nine premieres each season, and an additional five are presented in the studio theatre on Gaubstrabe. This smaller theatre has 180 seats and is located in a building complex with rehearsal stages.
In Thalias repertory are old and new classics of theatre, including Shakespeare, Schiller, Goethe, Tschechov, Kleist and Wedekind, as well as contemporary authors like Dea Loher, Lukas Barfuss, Moritz Rinke, and Fritz Kater. Such directors as Peter Sellars, Ruth Berghaus, Robert Wilson, Tomaz E. Pandur and Andreas Kriegenburg have worked at the Thalia Theater.
Recently the Thalia Theater was elected «theatre» of the year 2003 by the German journal «Theater heute» and its jury of theatre critics.
Thalia Theater productions have had performances throughout Europe, and internationally in Hong Kong, New York, Rio de Janeiro, Seoul/Korea and Bogota/Kolumbien.
