Maly Theatre presents the audience a new play by a contemporary Russian writer Alexander Zvyagintsev. The central theme of the play is the generational change – the older generation retreats making way to a new, younger, extraordinary and controversial generation.

The main characters are leaving the state summer residence of their relative, once a well-known and influential member of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. The problems arise when a stone bust of the old owner is found, forgotten and unneeded. And while the heroes decide who is to take this treasure back to their "small apartments", the memories of the past arise…the sad, the happy and the terrible moments from the lives of several generations of their family.
