Lyudmila Anatolyevna Suvorkina was born on January 25, 1951 in the town of Kineshma, Ivanovo region. In 1972, after graduating from he State University of Theatrical Arts, named after A.V. Lunacharsky (GITIS), she worked in Tula Academic Drama Theater, and later in Chelyabinsk Drama Theater named after S. Tsvilling.
In 1978 she was invited to join the troupe of the Maly State Academic Theatre of Russia. On the Moscow’s oldest drama stage, the artist performed a number of memorable roles of Russian and foreign repertoire. Each of her works is distinguished by authenticity, subtle sense of style and genre, great stage charisma and temperament, and by Lyudmila Anatolyevna’s ability to penetrate deeply into the psychology of her characters, and to create an accurate image. Lyudmila Suvorkina maintains high professionalism, serious and conscientious attitude to work, diligence and devotion to the traditions of the Maly Theatre.
Lyudmila Anatolyevna also starred in feature films: «The Center From the Skies», «The Minor», «The Frenchman». Several years ago Suvorkina established and headed the children's theatre «Pigeonry» at the premises of the Center for Theatre Education of the Bakhrushin Theatre Museum. It is destined for children and young people aged between 8 and 17 years. To celebrate the Centennial of Antoine de Saint Exupery's birth Lyudmila Suvorkina directed «The Little Prince» that was shown at A.A. Bakhrushin State Central Theater Museum and at the Central House of Workers of Arts (CDRI), and turned out to be a great success.
