THE “TREE OF THE RUSSIAN THEATRE” WAS PLANTED IN THE BAKRUSHIN ESTATE

On June 6 the A. A. Bakhrushin state Central Theatre Museum held a ceremony of landing the Tree of the Russian Theatre timed to coincide with the 220th anniversary of Pushkin. On this day, the museum opened the historical entrance from the Garden Ring.

An eight-meter tree appeared on the territory of the future museum-theatre quarter “Bakhrushinsky”. Th artistic directors and actors of the leading theatres of Russia - Moscow Art Theatre, the Maly Theatre, the Russian Academic Youth Theatre (RAMT), the Et Cetera Theatre, and the Romen Gypsy Theatre took part in the ceremony.

The representatives from the Maly Theatre included actors: Dariya Shevchuk, Maksim Filatov, Alexander Naumov and Stanislav Soshnikov. They performed Alexander Pushkin's poems The Prophet (Stanislav Soshnikov), To Chaadaev and Chaadaev (Maksim Filatov).
