IRINA MURAVYOVA OBTAINS LEONID GAIDAI'S PRIZE AT THE FESTIVAL IN BLAGOVESHCHENSK

People's Artist of Russia Irina Muravyova received a prize named after popular Soviet comedy director Leonid Gaidai for her contribution to the comedy at the closing ceremony of the 15 Festival of Cinema and Theatre «Amur Autumn» that was held in Blagoveshchensk, RIA Novosti reports.

Yuri Romanov, Mayor of Svobodny, Amur Oblast, Gaidai’s hometown, gave away the prize to the actress of the Maly Theatre. Irina Muravyova worked until 1991 at the Mossovet Theatre, and since 1993 she has been part of the Maly Theatre’s company. She is most well known for her performances in «Moscow Does Not Believe in Tears» (1979), «Karnaval» (1981), «The Most Charming and Attractive » (1985), in addition to working in film and theater, the actress is known for voicing cartoons.
