Larisa Georgievna Kichanova, Honored Artist of Russia, was born on July 27, 1949 in Orenburg. After graduating from high school she worked as an actress in the Gorky Kuibyshev Drama Theatre.

In 1972 Larisa Kichanova graduated from the Russian Institute of Theater Arts (GITIS) and joined the Maly Theatre’s company. Great stage charisma, creative temperament, wit, fantasy - all these crucial qualities of the young actress did not go unnoticed by spectators. Throughout the years Larisa Kichanova has created a gallery of vivid and memorable images from Russian and foreign repertoire.
