THE MALY THEATRE: CULTURE AT HEIGHT

Dear friends,

Yesterday, on September 12, we opened the Maly Theatre Through the Ages exhibition at the MEGA Belaya Dacha shopping center. The exhibition repeats the boards that are presented on Strastnoy Boulevard. However, in addition to these exposition stands telling about our productions and the history of the theatre, the exhibition presents costumes from the performances The Seagull by Anton Chekhov, staged by Vladimir Dragunov, Cyrano de Bergerac by Edmond Rostand, staged by Georges Lavaudant, Don Juan by Aleksey Tolstoy, staged by Alexander Klyukvin and Moliere by Mikhail Bulgakov, staged by Vladimir Dragunov.

The exposition is located in the “Culture at Height” exposition space.

The exhibition was opened by Tatyana Krupennikova, Head of the Museum and Information Center of the Maly Theatre, Konstantinos Tsakalis, General Manager of MEGA Belaya Dacha, and Elena Litvinova, Head of the culture and tourism department of the social development department of the Kotelniki city district administration.

In addition, guests were welcomed by artist Igor Petrenko and director of the Maly Theatre Elena Olenina, and honored artists of Russia Tatyana Korotkova and Sergey Veshchev, who presented a piece from the production Re-reading Chekhov.

As part of the cultural exchange, the staff of our Museum Information Center presented the library of the Culture at the Altitude exhibition space with several books published by the Maly Theatre Library, including "Artists of the Maly Theatre" and others.
