WITH KUROSAWA FOR LIFE

On April 15 we held an evening in memory of Akira Kurosawa, the prominent Japanese director who directed Dersu Uzala, an award-winning film starring Yuri Solomin, who played one of the leading roles.

The evening was held in the New Shchepkinskoe foyer of the Maly Theatre. An exhibition dedicated to Dersu Uzala was opened in the foyer of the theatre. One of its main exhibits was the sculptural group, made by Aleksey Chebanenko, the busts of Yuri Solomin, Maksim Munzuk and Akira Kurosawa himself.

P.S. On April 30 Dersu a special screening of Dersu Uzala will be held in the Engineering Building of the Tretyakov Gallery. In fact, this is a unique chance to see Akira Kurosawa's film on the big screen.Admission is free. Beginning at 19:00.
